Jay was wonderful! My husband and I live in London, and Jay helped us with the problems that long-distance buying causes. He showed me my long list, helped to get it to a short list and then did a whirlwind tour of the short list for my husband. We then had a tricky short-sale, and Jay was there every step of the way, helping to negotiate with the bank and the sellers. Without Jay's help, we might have given up, but he helped us jump through all the hoops.

Jay helped my me and my wife buy our first home together, a downtown DC condo in the U Street neighborhood. After our initial meeting with Jay to discuss the areas we were interested in, he recommended properties and neighborhoods that he thought fit our criteria. We were amazed at what a good sense he had for exactly what we were looking for -- not just a bunch of properties pulled off a list, but ones that closely matched our preferences and priorities. Once we found our perfect place, Jay was masterful in negotiations, encouraging us to sit tight and play a little "hardball" when my desire to move into our dream condo would have had me jumping at their first counter-offer. I would describe Jay in one word -- Amazing! Jay makes you feel like you are not just his client, but that you are a friend. At the time, I had a very hectic work schedule, and Jay managed to work around my timing to show me a ton of properties in a very short time frame. Jay Bauer was an excellent realtor. Within minutes of my initial email to him, he followed up with a phone call. He came to see the condo within a few hours. He was professional, knowledgeable and above all, a sincere person. He kept us abreast of reasons for delays from the buyer and negotiated a win:win for all parties.
